We have a one and a half storey home; very old, age unknown. At one time there was a crawl space and someone dug down to make a basement that is now two levels of cement. The foundation is split at the front corner, visible on the outside and is approx. 1" split. There is an addition on the back that is not over the basement. There has been a fire at some point in the house as the basement looking up to the floor boards above reveals charred wood. We would like to have a one floor plan home built. We love our location. What is involved to tear down the house and rebuild? We are looking at a factory built modular home. Where do we start???
